Beshr IslamBouli
I am a senior undergraduate at MIT studying Computer Science and Engineering. My interests lie at the intersection of machine learning and computer systems. Advised by Prof. Yoon Kim, my current research focuses on building smarter and faster algorithms and systems for large language models and their applications.
Some of my current and past affiliations include MIT, CSAIL, Jump Trading, ZeroRISC, MIT Parallel and Distributed Operating Systems Group, Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, Battlecode, International Olympiad in Informatics, Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad, Codeforces, and Delta Tau Delta.
Experiences
Jump Trading — Software Engineering Intern | Summer 2026
Cool performance engineering problems.
ZeroRISC — Software Engineering Intern | Summer 2025
- Contributed in C/C++/Rust to an in-house embedded operating system. Work presented at TockWorld 8, a Microsoft-hosted conference on operating systems development.
- Enabled position-independent code (PIC) execution from arbitrary RAM addresses, working on LLVM compiler internals, Linux executables (ELF), C/C++ runtime, and x86/RISC-V assembly.
- Improved memory efficiency by developing a new kernel disk & RAM allocator, leveraging PIC and dynamic loading.
